Jamal Jimerson is the founder of Minority Inclusion Project (MIP). The Minority Inclusion Project (MIP) launched in 2015 to develop and implement strategies that advance leadership, strengthen diversity, and promote the inclusion of underrepresented races and ethnicities in the leadership of nonprofit organizations across Connecticut. By broadening the base of minority management and leadership, MIP helps nonprofits better understand and address the needs of the children, youth, and families they serve. Our vision is to develop an inclusive social sector where racial and ethnic minorities lead organizations created to address disparities that disproportionately affect communities of color across the state. We envision a social sector where the leadership, innovation, and passion of minority professionals is cultivated, sought after, and supported by community-based organizations, colleges and universities, and philanthropic foundations.
